Join Cuyahoga Falls in a Day of Responsible Recycling
This exciting community initiative is not just another event; it’s a chance for the people of Cuyahoga Falls to come together and do their part for the environment. Mayor Don Walters is thrilled to announce an Electronics Recycling Event on Saturday, August 30, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., taking place at the Cuyahoga Falls Service Complex. This initiative is a collaboration with Summit e-Waste Recycling Solutions, reinforcing the commitment to sustainability and responsible waste disposal in our local area.
What Can You Recycle?
Residents are encouraged to bring a wide variety of electronics for recycling. The event will accept items including:
- Desktop computers and laptops
- All types of printers
- Cell phones and mobile devices
- Televisions (with a fee for CRT models)
- Batteries and power adapters
- And much more!
Whether clearing out old technology or simply ensuring proper disposal, this event offers an easy way for families to contribute to a cleaner planet. Hard drive shredding will be available on-site too, providing security for personal information.
Fall Cleanup Program: Making Room for New Beginnings
In addition to the recycling event, the annual Fall Cleanup Program kicks off just a few days later, running from September 2 to September 12. This program invites all Cuyahoga Falls Sanitation customers to place bulk trash at the curb for collection on their regular trash pickup day.
Residents can dispose of many items like furniture and appliances at no additional cost, but keep in mind that hazardous waste, tires, and large construction debris are not accepted. This is a perfect time to declutter and prepare for the cozy fall season.
A Community Stronger Together
Local initiatives like these show the strength of community within Cuyahoga Falls. Mayor Walters emphasizes that events such as the electronics recycling and fall cleanup programs provide residents with an opportunity not only to dispose of items responsibly but also to connect with one another. It fosters camaraderie, as neighbors gather, share stories, and work towards a common goal that benefits everyone.
How to Participate
To take part in the electronics recycling event, residents should use the Gaylord Grove Road entrance to the Service Complex. There is a small fee for recycling CRT televisions, which are $10 for those 12 inches and under, and $20 for those larger than 12 inches. Remember, all forms of payment are accepted. For the Fall Cleanup, ensure that your curbside refuse is available for collection by 7:00 a.m. on your scheduled refuse day.
Looking Ahead
Community-driven events like these are not just beneficial—they’re essential for fostering a strong local identity. The benefits of participating extend beyond simply cleaning up or recycling; they instill a sense of responsibility towards our environment and each other.
As Cuyahoga Falls continues to embrace sustainability, every contribution counts. Embrace this opportunity to declutter your home and contribute to a greener community! Calling all residents to come together on August 30th for the electronics recycling event, and participate in the Fall Cleanup while reinforcing the community spirit.
